Motor Heritage Wing

The existing Barn is an 18th Century Grade 2 listed building of architectural importance.

The Barn had been used for many years as a garage and storage area. The decision was made to transform this building into a Heritage Centre, workshop and event space, whilst still retaining the character and charm of the building.

The works in the contract consisted of external repairs to the elevations, re-roofing, internal repairs and alterations and construction of a new mezzanine floor to the existing Barn to form a new Motor House within the Royal Automobile Club, Woodcote, Epsom grounds.

The Motor Heritage Wing was named the overall winner at the recent Surrey Heritage Awards.
