Motor Heritage Wing The existing Barn is an 18th Century Grade 2 listed building of architectural importance. The Barn had been used for many years as a garage and storage area. The decision was made to transform this building into a Heritage Centre, workshop and event space, whilst still retaining the character and charm of the building. The works in the contract consisted of external repairs to the elevations, re-roofing, internal repairs and alterations and construction of a new mezzanine floor to the existing Barn to form a new Motor House within the Royal Automobile Club, Woodcote, Epsom grounds. The Motor Heritage Wing was named the overall winner at the recent Surrey Heritage Awards.

Turner’s House : Sandycombe Lodge The works to this project consisted the taking down of the Victorian built extensions to the first floor of the house, internal and external alterations and restoration, and the complete reinstatement of the interior finishes and decorations. Further work included the renewal of the mechanical and electrical installations together with new landscaping and underground drainage. The house is now open to the public as a museum. Sandycombe Lodge is a Grade 2* listed building which was built in 1813 and designed and owned by JMW Turner, one of Britain’s greatest landscape painters.

The house was built from 1864 and is located adjacent to Holland Park in Kensington and was the studio and home of Sir Frederic Leighton.

The site is located within the Becontree pre-war housing estate in Dagenham.

The Cabinet War Rooms located in the basement of the Treasury Buildings in Whitehall were abandoned after the Second World War and were subsequently converted into a Museum.

A phased contract over a two year period, Sawyer Fisher provided quantity surveying services for the provision of new visitor facilities

Sir John Soane’s Museum is a Grade 1 listed building of exceptional architectural importance, which dates from 1792 - 1837.
